A sebaceous cyst is a cyst that occurs under the skin.  They can bereferred to as epidermal cysts.  They are filled with a protein calledkeratin which has a foul odor and a cheese type look.  Sebaceous cystscan go away on its own, but they can also grow to the point where itcauses redness, swelling, and pain.  Surgery can be performed to removethe sebaceous cyst.
